Richard A. Clark, M.D., FAAD

Dr. Clark, a board-certified dermatologist, also serves as Professor and Vice-Chair for Research, Dept. of Dermatology, Stony Brook University; Founding Chair of Dermatology and Professor and Chair of the Executive Committee, Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, Stony Brook University. Dr. Clark has spent his career focusing on wound healing and has served as Co-Focus Leader, Skin Regeneration Program, Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine (AFIRM). Dr. Clark has over 150 original publications, including in the peer-reviewed journals Science and J Cell Biology. He is the recipient of an NIH 10-year Merit Award and was elected to Stony Brook University’s Chapter of National Academy of Inventors. Dr. Clark received a Bachelor of Science from Massachusetts Institute for Technology, and a Master of Science and Doctor of Medicine from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
